Creating a Monster

I will start with a little apology – Iran and Turkey, I will be referring to the Arab world in this document. Please consider yourselves part of it, since your behavior in the recent years has proven that you are equal partners.

Dear Arab World,

Let us be frank, we all know that the Palestinian people never existed. It was created by you, in order to destroy the state of Israel. Moreover, we all remember the way the Arab residents of Palestine were treated by Arab leaders. Taking King Hussein and the black September, Gaza strip and the treatment it got by Nasser and Sadat, and there are dozens of other examples. We all know that if a Palestinian state replaces the Israeli one it will be erased either physically or conceptually by you, the Arab world.

We can clearly see that the situation with the Palestinian people is taking a major role in the Arab world. It redirects the conversation on the street from the internal problems which we all know you have to an external entity. It is not the love to the Arabs in Israel that drives this, but the hate to the Jews in Israel. This subject created a couple of things – one the desired redirection, and two the increasing support to the crazes against Israel. One of which is constant demonstrations against Israel, another is violence against whoever supports Israel whether it is politicians, companies or countries. This violence is sometimes physical as we have just recently seen in Upsala University (May 11^th, 2010).

This increasing support creates social groups, political groups and gains assistance from other not-so-related organizations including inside the Israeli society. These groups are growing with your financial and conceptual support; their power is increasing to create an omnipotent entity which is the root of this monstrosity.

All through history we can see bodies that were supported by some force and turned against it: Afghanistan is a good example – the Afghan forces were supported by the American government during their struggle against the Soviets, one person, Osama bin Laden, got his training from the American forces. Another good example is Apple – when they were close to bankruptcy in the early 90s, Microsoft decided to support them for their own reasons and this past week we saw that the Apple stock became stronger than the Microsoft one. The third and last example I will show is the Labor party in England – around the last elections (2010), a set of documents was revealed: In the 90s the Labor party changed the immigration laws in order to allow cheap and low class immigration; the intention was to increase the support for the Labor party in future elections, we now saw that the Liberal Democrats is now getting this electoral power.

What I am trying to say is this – you, dear Arab World, are creating a monster with the so called Palestinians. Their support throughout the world is going to backfire. Their support inside your countries is going to be turned against you, once the Palestinian government decides that. This power is going to be used by those leaders and will be available at their dispense, creating (of course) a support to an external power inside your country, which will undoubtedly backfire at you. I do not need to remind you of Arab history.

This is a warning. You have created Frankenstein’s monster and you are running electricity through its body. At some point it will wake up.

גזענים

אנחנו גזענים.

אני מדבר עכשיו על ההתייחסות לעובדים הזרים בישראל. במבט מבחוץ אני מבין כמה אנחנו, כישראלים, גזענים, מתנשאים ונפוחים.

אני מצטער, אבל לטעון שצריך לשמור על העובד הזר הלא חוקי, שהגיע לשנתיים (אגב) ונשאר ל-18 מתוך ידיעה שהוא עובר על החוק, בגלל שהוא לא יכול במקום אחר, בגלל שישראל כל-כך טובה ונאורה ואיכותית והאידיליה של כל אדם – זו גזענות.

לומר שחייבים “לשמור” על הילדים שלהם כי הם לא יסתדרו במקום אחר, כי הם לא מכירים, כי הם נחותים מאיתנו כי הם מסכנים וחלשים ולא מסוגלים, זו גזענות. אנחנו כישראלים עליונים ואיכותיים רובנו היגרנו לישראל עם פחות ממה שיש להם, פחות מבוססים, נרדפים ולתוך מדינה במצב מלחמה מתמיד. אבל הם? הם גזע נחות, הם לא מסוגלים להסתדר כמונו. אה כן, זו גזענות.

להגיד שאנחנו חייבים לעשות הכל ושאנחנו חייבים להזדהות איתם, כי אחרת הם לא יסתדרו, זו גזענות. ואני לא צריך לחזור על הטיעונים, כי העיקרון הובן.

אנחנו לא חייבים להם כלום. אנחנו לא חייבים לשמור על כל העולם. העולם יסתדר בלעדינו. הגיע הזמן שנפסיק להיות אמפתים לכולם ולהבין את הכאב שלהם. הם יכולים להסתדר. הם צריכים לשלם על הטעויות שלהם. אנחנו לא מוציאים אותם להורג, אנחנו מחזירים אותם למקום בו חיים עוד מיליוני אנשים. רוצים להציל אותם? הצילו את כולם. הביאו את כולם למדינת ישראל הנאורה שלנו ללא השחיתות וללא הפשע שהרי טובה יותר מכל מקום אחר.

ורק שתדעו, הם יסתדרו בלעדינו. הרי בתי הקברות מלאים ביהודים, והעולם ממשיך להסתובב…

מכתב פתוח לנשיא ארה”ב, מר בראכ אובאמה

מר אובמה היקר, זה לא סכסוך טריטוריאלי.

זה מה שאתה ושכמוך לא מבינים. המאבק לא מכיל התפשרויות, לא צריכה להיות שאיפה לשלום כי שלום לא יהיה. יש יותר מדיי גופים שלא ייאפשרו לשלום הזה לקרות, בוודאי לא שלום לטווח ארוך. השאיפה צריכה להיות “שקט” – להביא שקט לתקופה סבירה, ובסבירה הכוונה היא ל-5 שנים. שאיפה ל 10-15 שנים של שקט היא חלום מתוק.

השקט הזה לא יגיע בוויתורים על שטחים – הוא יגיע או כתוצאה מגבולות מתוחים או מפחד של הצד השני לעשות מהלך בעקבות מכה חזקה שיחטוף. כל הסכמי השלום שהשגנו עד כה הנם של שלום בר חלוף – הוא יימשך כל עוד ידידינו הערבים יסכימו שהוא יימשך ולא דקה אחת יותר. ישראל תשאף לשמור על שני גבולות שקטים (תיאורטית) מאשר לפתוח חזית לחץ נוספת, אין סיכוי שיישראל תירה ראשונה, ואין ספק שמדרום וממזרח תפתח אש בעתיד הלא רחוק. הוויתורים שעשינו יעלו לנו ביוקר, אך זה היה מחיר שהיה קל לאותם המוותרים לשלם (בהתחשב, כמובן, שאותם האנשים שמסרו את השטח כבר מזמן לא איתנו).

וויתורים בגדה ובגולן יביאו הסכם שלום, אך לא יביאו שלום ולא שקט. הם יביאו פיגועים, קטיושות והתקפות נוספות. אם לא עכשיו אז בעוד חמש שנים.
הסיכוי היחיד הוא צבא חזק וטרנספר.

כשהפלסטינים אמרו שוב ושוב ושוב (במשך עשרות שנים) שהם עם, העולם ואתה קניתם את זה והאמנתם. הגיע הזמן שנתחיל להגיד טרנספר טרנספר טרנספר, ובסוף אולי העולם יתחיל לקבל את זה כאמת. כפתרון סביר. העולם כבר קיבל את פתרון שתי מדינות לשני עמים – ב 1917. עכשיו הם רוצים שנמשיך עם חזרתם על טיעון מנצח, אלא שהפעם זה שלוש מדינות – שתיים לערבים והשלישית לשאר, משום שאותם ערביי ישראל לא יעברו לשטחי פלסטין החדשה. את המדינה השלישית ידרשו הערבים לחלק פעם נוספת כל עוד אי אפשר להביס אותה צבאית.

פתרון הוא יחיד – החלפת אוכלוסיות – יהודי מדינות ערב כבר באו לישראל, ערביי ארץ ישראל צריכים לעבור למדינות ערב.

אחרי זה – גבול מתוח, מאזן הרתעה הדדי, ואז יהיה שקט. לגרום להם לפחד לשחרר נפיחה ואז יהיה שקט – שקט שיוביל לשקט ארוך טווח, שיוביל לשיתוף פעולה (כלכלי, חינוכי, אקדמי, משאבי). שלום לא יהיה, כפי שלא “ייפרוץ שלום” בין רוסיה לארה”ב. נכון שיהיה שיתוף פעולה, יהיה והיה שקט מתוח. כל הטוענים לשלום משקרים ובעיקר לעצמם. נכון, הרוסים והאמריקאים לא מתפוצצים זה על אדמתו של זה, אבל כמו שאחד מבין ילדיך יכול להיות שקט ורגוע והשני תזזיתי ופרוע כך גם עמים יכולים להלחם האחד בצורה שקטה וזהירה והשני בצורה של לבישת חגורת נפץ תוך השמת אזרחים כמטרה.

השאיפה לשלום לא תביא שלום.

וויתור על שטחים יביא רק שפיכות דמים.

לחץ העולם על ישראל יגרום למחיר גבוה מאוד בהמשך, מחיר אותו נשלם בחיי ישראלים.

נשיא יקר, ארה”ב יקרה, עולם יקר – אם אתם חושבים שקיום ישראל חשוב, תמכו בטרנספר ובשקט ארוך טווח.

כל מהלך אחר, ובמיוחד קידום “שלוש מדינות לשני עמים – שתיים לערבים ואחת לשאר”, כפי שמתרחש כרגע, יוביל לאסון לאזרחי ישראל, אסון לילדים ואסון למדינת ישראל.

אנחנו נשרוד כי אנחנו נהייה מוכנים. על אפם ועל חמתם. אבל אל תתנו לנו לשלם את המחיר הזה.

Playing the Game

It is about playing the game. Israel does not know how to do it and does it very badly, the Palestinians  on the other hand play it very well.

Shalit

A few months after Gilad was kidnapped a great pressure started by his family and close friends to release him. The pressure was pointed first to the Hamas and the international community and then pointed to the weakest link – the Israeli government. Acts and words were aimed to manipulate the public into applying pressure on Prime Minister Olmert and the rest of the government leading to (the last few days) talks about releasing hundreds if not thousands of murderers in exchange for the poor soldier. Some of these murderers are charged with hundreds of deaths, were found guilty and sent to over 300 times the life sentence. I am not saying not to do this exchange, I am saying that this is a result of a pressure on the weakest link – the Israeli government, a democracy affected by its people who were manipulated in the lowest of forms to support kidnapping the next person.

On the other side of the conflict, I have not heard a single name being mentioned by the Palestinians. Not one person mentioned to be freed. They are not humane for the people, they are soldiers in the war to erradicate Israel. Numbers and volume is what counts. The more horrible the acts they did, the more valueble their release is in the war against the Existance of Israel.

To look at the blame here – the Palestinians blame (not surprisingly) Israel for flunking the negotiations. By definition negotiations mean give and take. Israel has changed its stand, the Palestinians have not and they will do whatever they can to blow this up. Even worse – as we’ve seen before – when Israel accepts the demands this is the moment they change them to stricter, more irrational demands. This is not Hamas, this is not Fatah it is whoever Israel talks with. And then we get the inner self hating Israeli blaming the Israeli government for not giving in to the demands. This is a work of the Hamas-Iranian-Syrian propaganda flooding the media saying Israel is “not willing”. And the reporters – the guards, the suppliers of information are the first to fight this war. Not objective anymore.

Syria

Just this week we have heard from Assad Jr. that Israel has been failing the talks. “We could have had peace weeks ago” almost word for word. It is just that Israel are not accepting the tiny demand that has not changed and will not change – letting the Syrian cannons reach Haifa. This is the only thing that Israel has refused to do since 1948. And apparently this is “the only barrier for peace”. No shit? Israel not willing to change one demand, while giving in to everything else, and that is the barrier? Sure.

The Arab propaganda started years ago, and continues now – there is a short time to achieve peace, just give us that (with any tiny piece of self defence you have left) before “the right wing government” starts its term. Again – manipulating the people to affect the government to work in a hurry. Unfortunately – these scare tactics work. It worked for Saddam Hussain, it worked for Adolf Hitler, it works all over the world – scare people to make them do what you want. Now it works accross borders and through the internet, tv and newspapers. Easier to get to the paranoid, who is easy to find in Israel.

Nukes

Nuclear weapons. Just one word about that. Assuming that Iran manages to fool the world for one more year (they’ve been doing it since 2002, what is one more year between friends), and they say “yes, no, yes, no, yes, wait….. ok…. wait… no” during this period until they manufacture the first nuke. The next step is simple – Once the Shi’ites from Iran have nuclear weapons their Sunni friends will demand their western friends for “equality”, which will cause the Middle east to be nuclear all over (I am rushing the timeline, but this will get there before 2015-2020). Israel will be (hopefully still there) stuck in the middle.

Assuming that by 2020 some Israeli government and the Israeli people will be manipulated into give the Palestinians the west bank as well (after Gaza), there is one thing for sure – Palestinian aggression and attacks will not stop. Now imagine this – and this will happen – when the Palestinians have a nuclear weapon (some new terror organization of course, not related to anything we know so the other organizations cannot be blamed), they will not need a balistic missile to shoot the nuke. They will need a catapult to get to Tel Aviv.

Notice that to get to this scenario only two assumptions were needed:

1. Iran becomes nuclear.

2. Israel gives the west bank.

Two probable assumptions, unfortunately.

For this I will end with a hope bundled in a request: WAKE UP, ignore the propaganda, see through it. Not just Israel is affected, everyone is. Iran, Syria, Palestinians – if you take their word for it over and over and over again, you have been affected.

WAKE UP

Sydsvenskan as the Firestarter

I will start with a little background.

Rosengård
There is an area in Malmö called Rosengård (translated to Rose Garden if anyone is interested), in which the police and the residents don’t see eye to eye. Most of the residents in this area are immigrants, and more than 80 percent are first and second generation in Sweden. Some of them are Muslims. [Source]

Some people claim this area became a “no man’s land”, and police are keeping distance from that area.

Last week (1-7.2.2009), a group of policemen were caught on tape treating badly the Muslim and Arabic residents of Rosengård. [Source]

January 25th demonstration
On January 25th, there was a demonstration in Malmö focusing on Israel’s right to defend itself, and stop hurting civilians on both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This demonstration was scattered by a pro Palestinian mob. I have written a post describing my point of view from within this demonstration.

The newspapers in general avoided commenting about it. Sydsvesnkan mentioned it four days later in a page somewhere in a non-interesting page.

The Newspaper

In Wednesday’s (4.2.2009) edition of Sydsvenskan [http://sydsvenskan.se/], one of the biggest newspapers in this region in Sweden, the first page had two big reports pointing to an inner page – the first – an article about the police’s comments and treatment of the Muslim in Rosengård. The second about the situation in Gaza (current and previous). The problem comes with a third report, joining the first two on the page the articles were pointing to – a report about the last demonstration, and about the next one intended to be held tomorrow (8.2.2009). The first two articles will get Muslim and Arabic people enraged, and the third, to remind them where to point this anger, pro-Israelis and the police trying to defend them. The two enemies described in the two big articles.

I, personally, refuse to believe these three articles are put together out of coincidence. Moreover, I think there was an intent behind it and whoever states otherwise is either ignorant or way too naive.

Of course, people say I am paranoid; but hey, the fact that I am paranoid does not mean they are NOT up to get me.

FODKOS – Why Sweden is no longer a democracy

I was at a manifestation in Stortorget in Malmö on Sunday, January 25th, 13:00. Not a demonstration, a manifestation.
Here is a short review of the events that happened there: A group of around 150 Swedish citizens has received the permission to hold a manifestation in Stortorget, Malmö. These people were put within a cage, surrounded by no more than 20 policemen. Outside this closed area gathered a crowd of around the same number, illegally without the police confirmation, and started shouting and offending the people inside. These included shouts of “murderers”, “death to jews” (in arabic) and calls to eliminate the state of Israel. Moreover, quite smilingly, they saluted the Hitler Salute towards the people inside (who were holding Swedish and Israeli flags).
At around 13:25, the legal speakers were forced to end their talks because the electricity was unplugged by a person from the surrounding mob. Until this time the police were passive, only then they took this person aside and returned to being passive and reactive. Within a couple of minutes, the counter protesters (illegal, did I mention?) started to throw eggs, stones and other solid objects at the people gathered within the encapsulated area. One of these objects was a glass bottle, thrown a distance of 50 meters. A glass bottle is a murder weapon in this case. The police, being passive yet again until this point, have taken/arrested a person after that. Hopefully that was the same individual throwing the bottle, and hopefully he will be treated as a want-to-be killer.
Not connecting the electricity, and not allowing the manifestation to go on as planned, led to a firework being thrown inside towards the group of people. This is the type of firework with which people lose their fingers and arms in New Year celebrations.
At this point, the police decided to rush all of the legal protesters through side streets and back alleys to a safe point, all the time during this rush illegal protesters waited at corners and threw bottles on the fleeing legal, Swedish citizen, quiet protesters.
Everything ended at 13:45, hidden in a back street. Less than 45 minutes.
In the duration of all these events, policemen on horses were 100% passive, not taking any part of defending and protecting the elderly, legal, Swedish citizen, attacked protesters. I will not tell the police how to do their job. But I will tell them how NOT to do their job, and it is exactly how they behaved on January 25th, 13:00.

Firstly, the police force was way too small. Second, the illegal counter demonstration was not moved away to a safe distance (if not removed from ground). Third, the police was reactive – waited for physical attacks before acting. Forth, horsed policemen did not take part until it was too late (and maybe not even then – I was not there to see). Fifth, police caved to pressure by illegal protesters doing illegal action, and gave the mob what they were trying to achieve. This should never happen in a democratic country. Sixth, legal manifestation ended whereas illegal one went on. Whoever made these decisions has made incorrect ones.

Personally, I felt betrayed by the Swedish authorities. I felt ashamed calling Sweden a democratic country where the legal is banned and the illegal is cheered. I feel scared of the mob, now that I feel that the police caves to its will. I am afraid of the police, because I find it hard to trust them again, I know I will be sacrificed in order to let the mob wave go over their head.
I think this is not just me. Not only the personal self, but all the people who were at the manifestation, and all those who will know the full story and get this information.

From now on I do not refer to this country I currently live in as Sweden, but FODKOS – FOrmer Democratic Kingdom Of Sweden.

פלשת

קצת על פלשת.

פלשתים – עם אדום שיער שהגיע מאחד האיים הקרובים לנו. כרתים אולי, כל-כך מוטל בספק מקורם, אך אפילו סביר שיהיו ויקינגים.

פלשת – חבל הארץ הדרום מערבי – מישור החוף הדרומי בו התיישבו.

פלשתינה – שם שארץ ישראל קיבלה כדי לנתק אותה מהזהות היהודית אחרי 1917.

העם הפלשתיני – לא יכול להיות קיים לפני 1917, מתוך הגדרה. מעבר לזה, העם הפלשתיני אינו יכול להגות את שמו בשפתו.

קצת היסטוריה – 1880, מספר התושבים בין הירדן לים היה בין 50-250 אלף אנשים (המקורות סותרים אחד את השני). ב-1881 הייתה ההגירה היהודית הראשונה שהביאה איתה לישראל בעיקר יהודים, אבל גם הרבה כסף, טכנולוגיה ואינטיליגנציה. תהליך זה – שהתחיל אז ונמשך עד היום, הוציא את הארץ הקטנה שבה אנחנו חיים מהבוץ המדשדש והמוזנח שבו היא הייתה. היציאה מהבוץ, והעובדה שהפכה יוצאת דופן מבחינה כלכלית וטכנולוגית על שכינותיה הביאה איתה מהגרים. מהגרים ערבים, שהתיישבו בארץ וניזונו מהכסף. מי בעבודה ומי בגניבה ושוד.

ההבדל בין ההגירה היהודית להגירה הערבית היא הזיקה לארץ. ההגירה היהודית הייתה משום שאותו אינדיבידואל אירופאי, צפון אפריקאי או מערב אסייתי רצה להגיע לארץ אבותיו ולבנות אותה. אי אפשר להחליף אותו באינדיבידואל אחר מאותה מדינה (שאינו יהודי), כי אינם שקופים להחלפה, אינם בעלי אותה מחשבה ואינם בעלי אותה התפיסה כלפי ארץ ישראל.

לעומתם, המהגר הערבי, יכול להיות מוחלף על-ידי מהגר ערבי אחר, שכן אותו אינדיבידואל אינו שונה משכנו. ללא זיקה נפרדת, ללא קשר לארץ עצמה, ושהותו בה מותנית בקיומה של ארץ משגשגת.

העם היהודי הביא להגירה היהודית לכאן. ההגירה הערבית לכאן הביאה את העם הפלשתיני. מעבר לזה, אני טוען שללא קיום עם יהודי חזק ומשגשג בגבולות ארץ ישראל, אין קיום לעם הפלשתיני שם – הוא לא יישרוד. הוא תלוי בהפניית אצבע מאשימה, הוא תלוי בטכנולוגיה ובכסף, והוא צריך פתרונות טכנולוגים וכלכליים לחשמל, מים במדינה יבשה ודלק במדינה ללא נפט.

אני לא מביע כאן טענה על קיום מדינה פלשתינית או נגדה. אני לא אומר שמותר או אסור להפר זכויות אדם בסיסיות. אני לא אומר שאנחנו חייבים או אסור לנו לפתוח את הגבולות ולתת להם לעבוד בישראל. ולא טוען שעלינו לתת או למנוע מהם אוכל ותרופות. אני רק אומר שאם אתה בא לדבר איתי על מדינת ישראל, או על הפלשתינים, תדע מה קרה לפני יותר מ 41 שנה.

כל ערב שאני יוצא, אני נשאל על-ידי ויקינג זה או אחר דבר על הסכסוך. קשה לי לחזור על המנטרה, אבל זה “משעשע” לראות את תגובתם משתנה כשהם שומעים צד שני למטבע. אולי כדאי שאני אתרגם את זה לשבדית ואשלח על גלי האתר.

אני לא אדבר על השפעת העולם או התקשורת על הסכסוך, כי זה לא שיחה על הסכסוך, קצת על היסטוריה.

אני לא טוען שהאמת בידי, אבל השגיאה (אם קיימת) פתוחה לתיקונים.

שבוע טוב.

יום כיפור

הכל ממשיך.

הכל מתנהל כרגיל. אין אווירת חג, אין את התחושה הזו שממלאת את האוויר ביום כיפור בישראל. השמש שקעה – מכוניות המשיכו לנסוע, אוטובוסים, חנויות פתוחות. בדרך לבית הכנסת עוברים ליד בורגר קינג פתוח, הריח של הבשר הסינטטי, המתיקות של קטשופ יבש באוויר. כרגיל.

משהו לא בסדר באווירה הזו. אבל אז –  תפילת “כל נדרי” נותנת תחושה של בית – הנה משהו מוכר. משהו שמחזיר אותי להבין שגם כאן אני אני, גם כאן הדברים מתנהלים כמו שאני רוצה וכמו שאני מרגיש אותם. גם כאן החגים היהודיים שבלב יוצאים החוצה.

סופסוף אני מבין כמה טוב להיות בארץ. למרות התלונות של כל אותם בודדים – אסור לאפשר תנועת מכוניות, אסור לאפשר פתיחת חנויות. יום אחד בשנה, תבינו אנשים אחרים. העסק לא ייקרוס עם יום חופש נוסף, ולא בכל יום חופש צריך ללכת לבקר את הדודה בצד השני של מדינה. צריך לשמור את האווירה הזו, כי אם הארץ תיראה כמו כאן נאבד חלק חשוב מאיתנו.

בבית הכנסת בלונד נכנסו כמה אנשים מתנצלים “בארץ לא הלכתי…” לא נורא. לא משנה מה היה. אני מבין איך המרחק הזה גורם לחפש משהו מוכר, משהו שהוא יהודי לחלקנו, משהו שהוא מאוד ישראלי לאחרים. בבית הכנסת שומעים קצת עברית, אחרי השבדית והאנגלית של היומיום. אפשר לנהל שיחה ישראלית אמיתית, כמה שהתגעגעתי.

פגשתי בחור ברזילאי, שעלה לארץ פגש שבדית ועבר לשבדיה. פגשתי קיבוצניק שהכיר דנית ועכשיו שניהם גרים בשבדיה. איש מבוגר, תימני מרמת גן קורא בתורה כמו שרק הוא יודע. קיבוץ גלויות קטן עשתה המדינה, ושלחה חלקנו לשבדיה. לפחות אנחנו לא לבד כאן. תחושה של בית. ביום כיפור הזה לא רק ביקשתי סליחה.

גם אמרתי תודה.

קצת על הקונפליקט, ועל למה הם פשוט לא יבינו

באיזו מסיבה לפני כחודשיים ניגש אליי בחור צעיר ושאל “למה כל הישראלים גזענים”? כמובן שהשאלה הזו העידה יותר עליו מאשר עליי. שאלתי אותו “למה אתה אומר את זה”? אז ענה שזה בגלל מה שאנחנו עושים לפלסטינים. ברגע הזה הרגשתי שאני חייב להסביר. מעכשיו דמיינו שיחה בין ישראלי קצת עצבני, לשבדי שיכור בן 20.

אבל לפני, קצת רקע – אנחנו חיים במחוז הדרומי ביותר של שבדיה, הוא נקרא “סקונה” בשבדית ו”סקאניה” (כמו המשאית, כי היא מיוצרת כאן) באנגלית. שטחו של המחוז כ- 10,000 קמ”ר. חצי משטח מדינת ישראל.

אמרתי לו “דמיין שתושבי סקונה רוצים עצמאות, להיפרד משבדיה”

“אוקיי” אמר

“ונניח ששבדיה לא מעוניינת שהם יפרדו ככה” הוספתי

“למה לא?” שאל

“כי שבדיה לא רוצה”

“למה?”

“ככה”!

“אבל למה שבדיה לא רוצה?”

“יש לה את הסיבות שלה”

“איזה סיבות?”

“לצורך הדיון” אמרתי, עצבני.

“אני לא מבין, למה ששבדיה לא תרצה?”

אז קלטתי – יש אנשים שאף פעם לא יבינו את זה. למה? כי הוא היה כנה, הוא לא ניסה להציק; לא ניסה להתחכם. פשוט ככה הוא חושב, והוא לא היחיד. אני לא אכנס לשאלה למה הם לא מבינים, או מה חסר להם כדי להבין, או איפה בדיוק נפל הבורג שבגללו המערכת הזו לא עובדת. המנטליות שונה. האנשים אותם בני אדם, הגנטיקה אותה גנטיקה (אמנם הם ויקינגים, חובשי כובעי קרניים וחותרים במעלה הזרם לכבוש את אירופה, ואנחנו קטנים בעלי קרניים אך מסתירים אותן עם כיפה), החינוך מערבי, אבל פשוט לא נבין.

פער תרבויות.

נ.ב. לגבי הקונפליקט, זו הייתה התחלתו של דיון ואינו קרוב לטענה אותה רציתי לטעון. פשוט שם נשברתי איתו ושיניתי נושא.

First Post.

Moved to Sweden from Israel more than two months ago, to live with my wife. I’m a computer scientist / programmer, she’s a student / not programmer.
I will not start (and have not started) from the beginning, since it’ll take about 27 years to tell.

First thing I realized about the move here which says a lot about the society, is the bureaucracy. In Israel, if you need a signature, a paper or whatever – you are going to run between 4-5 offices, located in different places (hopefully in the same city), argue with bureaucrats, shout and yell (mostly “I’ve already BEEN THERE“, and “Go there again?!”); at the end, you will get all your papers, all your signatures and one sweaty T-Shirt within a day or two.
In Sweden on the other hand – you go, fill a form in 5 minutes, and you get everything ready and set to your home. 4 months later.

Bureaucracy is tha shit.
